One of the earlier scenes of Guy Ritchie’s Ministry of Ungentlemany Warfare has two of the characters stealing vital information aboard a moving train, to the tune of a tense soundtrack by Christopher Benstead featuring drums, bass and menacing sustained wind notes.
I had a feeling of déjà vu déjà entendu at the bass riff and its rhythmical interaction with the drums.
After some music library digging, I eventually found the track I had in mind: Myxomatosis from Radiohead’s 2003 Hail to the Thief.
David Bennett actually has an interesting video discussing the time signature of the track and the polyrhythm between bass and percussion.
